Maintenance Mechanic

About the job

As a maintenance mechanic in the Technical Maintenance department, you are responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of the machinery at a large food production company in Nieuwegein. Production runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Shift schedule

You work a 5-shift rotation: 6 days on, 4 days off, an average of 33.6 hours per week.

Shifts:

• Morning: 07:00 – 15:00
• Afternoon: 15:00 – 23:00
• Night: 23:00 – 07:00

Weekend shifts include a 28.75% supplement.

What you'll do

• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on machines and installations
• Perform periodic checks and inspections
• Identify faults and structural areas that need improvement
• Give advice and help develop lasting technical solutions
• Act as the contact point on the production floor for technical problems
• Supervise and coordinate external contractors
• Help keep machines available and production running without interruption

What we ask

• MBO-level (Dutch vocational college) education in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Broad technical knowledge of both mechanics and electrical systems
• At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in food or process industry
• Experience with CMMS systems such as Ultimo or similar
• You work independently, accurately, and in an organised way
• You can work well in a team and solve faults together with colleagues
• You live near Utrecht, Nieuwegein, IJsselstein, Vianen, or Houten

• Gross monthly salary from €3,200 to €4,500, depending on knowledge and experience
