Assembly Mechanic

About the job

You and your colleagues keep the installations at a large industrial site in Botlek Rotterdam running safely and reliably. You work on a variety of mechanical installations and machines. No two days are the same: one day you fix a breakdown, the next you carry out a preventive inspection or take part in a technical modification or project.

What you'll do

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and modifications
• Find, analyse and fix faults
• Keep mechanical installations and machines in good working order
• Take part in technical improvements and projects
• Supervise and coordinate the work of external fitters
• Work in line with health and safety rules, including LOTOTO (lock-out/tag-out/try-out), work permits and job risk analysis
• Take part in on-call standby shifts (consignatie)

What we ask

• Completed technical vocational training in mechanics or mechanical engineering at MBO 3 or 4 level, or equivalent
• Experience as an assembly mechanic, maintenance mechanic or in a similar technical role
• Experience with mechanical maintenance and fault-finding
• Experience in industry, production or process industry is a plus
• Willing to take on on-call standby shifts
• Independent, hands-on and solution-focused way of working

• Salary of €3,600 to €4,600 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience
