REOB Technician (portable fire extinguisher maintenance)

About the job

We are looking for an experienced REOB technician for a technical company in fire protection. You know your trade and care about quality. You work independently at various client locations and are responsible for maintaining portable fire extinguishing equipment.

What you'll do

• You carry out periodic inspections of fire extinguishers and indoor fire hose reels (portable fire extinguishing equipment)
• You check operation, pressure, seals and the general condition of the equipment
• You identify faults, fix failures and replace parts or equipment when needed
• You assess whether equipment is still safe and fit for use
• You record your work and write correct maintenance reports
• You advise clients on maintenance, replacement and the condition of their fire safety equipment

What we ask

• Several years of experience as a REOB technician or portable fire extinguisher maintenance technician
• Diploma Onderhoudsdeskundige Kleine Blusmiddelen (REOB certificate, a Dutch qualification for portable fire extinguisher maintenance specialists)
• Knowledge of current regulations and maintenance procedures
• Ability to work independently and judge deviations from the norm correctly
• Driving licence category B
