CNC Machine Operator (laser)

About the job

You work in a modern production hall that designs and makes steel structures. You operate a laser cutting machine for pipes, beams and steel profiles. One day you produce parts for indoor steel staircases, the next you work on large girders for industrial buildings.

What you'll do

• Operate and monitor a CNC (computer-controlled) laser pipe cutting machine
• Set up the machine for different production orders
• Check the quality of produced parts
• Read and understand technical drawings
• Load and unload materials and prepare orders for shipping
• Feed raw materials into the machine
• Spot and, where possible, fix minor faults

• A genuine interest in machines, technology and metal is important
• Technical ability and willingness to learn (no experience with every machine is fine)
• You work carefully, take responsibility, show initiative and want to keep learning
• You are comfortable doing physical work
• You enjoy working in a team on different projects
• You live near Lekkerkerk, Bergambacht, Schoonhoven, Capelle a/d IJssel, Gouda or a nearby town

What we offer

• Gross salary from €2,650 to €3,100 per month, depending on experience
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Working hours 07:00 to 16:00
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary)
• Travel costs reimbursed from 11 km
• CAO Metaal Techniek Metaalbewerking (CAO is a collective labour agreement that sets wages and conditions for a sector)
