Logistics Worker Steel

About the job

You work at a company that trades and processes structural steel in Oosterhout. Every day you receive, store, handle and ship large amounts of steel to customers in the Netherlands and Europe. You work with steel beams, pipes and profiles that are cut, drilled, shot-blasted and painted to size.

What you'll do

• Load, unload and move structural steel within the facility
• Operate an overhead bridge crane with a joystick
• Attach transport straps to beams, pipes and profiles
• Check and count incoming materials
• Prepare materials for cutting, drilling, shot-blasting and painting
• Check orders and prepare shipments
• Spot and fix minor technical faults
• Carry out simple maintenance tasks on machines and installations
• Work together with the production, transport and technical departments

What we ask

• A hands-on attitude and willingness to take responsibility
• Technical thinking and the ability to solve simple problems on your own
• Experience in logistics, production or construction is a plus
• Experience with a forklift, overhead crane, machines or technical installations is welcome
• No experience as a metalworker or electrician is required

What we offer

• Salary from €3,000 to €3,700 gross per month, depending on experience
• Fixed two-shift schedule
• Working hours: 06:00–14:30 and 14:30–23:00
