Metro Service Technician

About the job

We are looking for around ten service technicians for a long-term project with a client in the Rotterdam region. The work involves preventive maintenance and repairs on metro trains, both mechanical and electrical. This includes doors, audio systems, compressors, air conditioning, and bogies.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on metro trains
• Work on door systems, audio systems, compressors, air conditioning, and bogies
• Work in a fixed team of 8 people at a fixed location
• Work a continuous shift schedule across 5 shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays

What we ask

• Technical education at MBO-2 or MBO-3 level (Dutch vocational education), or MBO-2 combined with relevant experience or certificates
• At least 5 years of experience in mechatronics
• Experience in a similar role is preferred
• VCA Basis certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for construction and technical work), minimum
• Able to work independently, including in a flexible shift schedule
• Own transport
• Own personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools
