Pipefitter (Self-Employed)

About the job

As a self-employed pipefitter, you measure, assemble and install pipe systems. You work with both small and large diameters. You make sure everything is built precisely according to the drawings. You work closely with welders and other technical specialists.

What you'll do

• Measure, assemble and install pipe systems
• Work with pipe systems ranging from small to large diameters
• Read and interpret isometric drawings
• Prepare pipes for welding work
• Work together with welders and other technical specialists
• Carry out installation work on site
• Check dimensions and quality of work
• Flag technical problems and suggest solutions
• Work in line with applicable health and safety rules

What we ask

• Proven experience as a pipefitter
• Experience with pipe systems in industry or installation technology
• Ability to read technical and isometric drawings
• Registration with the Kamer van Koophandel (Dutch Chamber of Commerce), with a current extract
• Active btw-nummer (Dutch VAT number)
• Bedrijfsaansprakelijkheidsverzekering (business liability insurance)
• Verklaring betalingsgedrag (a statement from the Dutch tax authority confirming you are up to date with tax payments)
• Valid VCA-VOL certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for contractors; VOL is the full version for supervisors and workers in high-risk roles)
• Own transport and own tools
• Own personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work independently, accurately and with attention to quality
