Electrical Technician

About the job

We are looking for an electrical technician with solid knowledge of electrical engineering and control systems. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working with PLC systems as well as motors, excavator-loaders, and cranes. You will work at a large industrial site in Velsen-Noord as part of a team of 5 technicians, responsible for all service and maintenance work on site. Around 80% of the work is outdoors.

What you'll do

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across the full range of machinery, at both mechanical and electrical level
• Maintain and repair office equipment, vehicles, cranes, and conveyor belts
• Create and update inspection schedules
• Actively contribute to improvements in the maintenance process
• Supervise external contractors
• Work a 2-shift schedule (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00) and be on call every 4-5 weeks

What we ask

• Technical education at MBO level (Dutch vocational qualification), preferably in electrical engineering and/or mechanics
• Knowledge of high-voltage installations and/or power installations
• Knowledge of PLC controllers (Siemens S5/S7), or willingness to complete training with the client
• NEN1010 or NEN3140 certificate
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working in industrial environments)
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written

What we offer

• Gross salary from €3,000 to €4,600 per month (including allowances)
• Shift allowance of 15%
• Fixed monthly allowance of €75
• ADV hours paid out (reduced working hours compensation)
• On-call allowance of €273
• One-year contract with the intention of moving to a permanent contract
• Travel reimbursement: €0.21 per kilometre (minimum 10 km, maximum 40 km)
• Holiday pay of 8.33%
• 25 days of annual leave (with full employment: 27 days leave + 14 ADV days + 2 shift work days)
