Painter / Surface Preparation Specialist

About the job

As a painter and surface preparation specialist you work on the maintenance and renewal of railway rolling stock. Precision and quality matter here. Your experience and eye for detail make sure every part of the train meets the highest standards.

What you'll do

• Surface preparation: removing rust and old layers of paint from parts.
• Filling and sanding: getting a smooth and even base.
• Painting: applying new paint to interior and exterior parts of trains.
• Quality control and progress checks according to strict protocols.
• Working with colleagues to get the best end result.

What we ask

• MBO level 2 diploma in industrial painting or equivalent.
• Valid VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for contractors) and ability to apply for a VOG (certificate of good conduct).
• At least 1 year of experience in painting and finishing work.
• A proactive attitude and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in changing shifts.

What we offer

• Salary from €17.70 to €24.24 gross per hour.
• Temporary contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
• Full time, 36 hours per week.
• 25 days of annual leave and 8.33% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary).
• Travel cost reimbursement of €0.25 per kilometre.
• Annual bonus of 3% and a shift work allowance.
• Good pension scheme through StiPP.
