Technical Department Mechanic

About the job

We are looking for a technical department mechanic to work at a concrete factory in Eastermar. Your job is to keep the machines running. You spot faults quickly, fix them, and make improvements on the production floor.

What you'll do

• Prevent breakdowns by doing regular, timely inspections so everything keeps running smoothly.
• Fix faults, both mechanical and electrotechnical.
• Keep machines in full working order, mainly on the mechanical side.
• Diagnose problems fast, solve them, and put improvements in place so production never stops.
• Come up with technical solutions and put them into practice on the spot.
• Work a 2-shift schedule, sometimes with extra day shifts.

What we ask

• A background or experience in mechanics or mechanical engineering, plus knowledge of electrotechnics.
• Good Dutch, spoken and written. You use it to talk with colleagues and write reports.
• A category B driving licence is a plus.
• Flexible, quick to react, and focused on finding solutions.

What we offer

• Gross salary from €2,598 to €4,340 per month, depending on age and experience.
• Paid every Friday, directly to your account.
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre.
• An irregular-hours supplement of 20.10% on top of your base pay.
