Automotive Glass Technician

About the job

As an automotive glass technician, you make sure drivers can get back on the road safely. Whether it is repairing a small chip in a windscreen or replacing a full pane of glass, you know what needs to be done. No experience in this field yet? No problem. The client company provides an extensive internal training programme where you will learn everything about the job.

What you'll do

• Inspect and assess damage to automotive glass
• Repair and replace damaged glass
• Advise customers about the damage found and the work carried out
• Calibrate cameras and modern driver assistance systems (ADAS)
• Fit temporary emergency covers when a replacement pane is not immediately available
• Handle the administrative processing of completed work
• Check the vehicle before returning it to the customer to make sure it is safe on the road

What we ask

• Category B driving licence (manual gearbox)
• Interest in technical work and willingness to do physical work
• Good physical condition and an active way of working
• A customer-focused attitude and good communication skills
• Accuracy and the ability to work independently
• Willingness to work on-call shifts in the evenings and at weekends

What we offer

• Gross salary from €2,847 to €3,787 per month, depending on age and experience
• 25 days of holiday
• Vakantiegeld (holiday pay) of 8%, a standard Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary
• ATV supplement of 5% (extra time-off allowance, standard in Dutch employment)
• Extensive internal training to become an all-round service technician
• €100 gross per month extra after completing the training
• Travel cost reimbursement: €0.23 per kilometre
