Maintenance Mechanic

About the job

As a maintenance mechanic, you mainly handle mechanical maintenance of machines and installations in the factory. You fix breakdowns, keep production running, and regularly check parts before small wear turns into a bigger problem.

What you'll do

• Carry out mechanical maintenance on production machines and installations
• Find and fix breakdowns as quickly as possible so production runs without stops
• Regularly inspect parts and installations and act on wear and other issues before they grow
• Do basic electrical work (no electrical trade background required)
• During quieter periods: carry out various general technical and facility tasks in and around the building together with colleagues

What we ask

• Experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar technical background
• Able to work independently on mechanical tasks
• Happy to work in a small, close team
• Willing to take on a mix of technical and general tasks

What we offer

• Salary: €3,000 to €3,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week), depending on experience
• Travel costs: €0.23 per km, from 7 km one way
• Allowances and overtime: in line with the CAO Metaal & Techniek (the collective labour agreement for the metal and technology sector)
• 25 holiday days per year
• Vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a standard Dutch bonus): 8.33%

• Option to obtain certificates such as VCA (Dutch safety certificate for working in industrial environments) and other relevant qualifications
• Option to use a company car for commuting to and from work
• Work clothing and personal protective equipment provided by the client company or the uitzendbureau (staffing agency)
• Flexible pay: weekly or every 4 weeks
• A fixed contact person who handles all the paperwork

Location: Tholen. You work at a stable, family-owned company with its own production, modern production lines, and a variety of machines. The team is relatively small, with room for independence and for sharing your own ideas on improvements and maintenance. Full time.
