Maintenance and Breakdown Mechanic

About the job

As a maintenance and breakdown mechanic, you keep an advanced machine park running well. You use your knowledge of electrics, hydraulics, mechanics and pneumatics to fix faults quickly and carry out preventive maintenance on time. You work in a team of six and can help improve processes in a production environment.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive maintenance on various machines in an automated machine park.
• Fix first-line breakdowns quickly and effectively to reduce downtime.
• Support process improvements and innovations in a production environment.
• Manage the stock of technical parts and keep it well organised.
• Be on call once every five weeks for breakdowns outside regular working hours.

What we ask

• MBO (Dutch vocational qualification) level 3 or 4 diploma in a technical field.
• Experience with electrics, hydraulics and mechanics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams.
• Customer focus and strong problem-solving skills.
• Available to work in shifted day shifts and on Saturdays.

What we offer

• Salary of €3,000 to €4,090 gross per month.
• Fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
• Full time, 38 to 40 hours per week.
• 36 days off per year (24 days holiday plus 12 ADV days, which are extra days off under the collective labour agreement).
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 net per kilometre.
• Year-end bonus of 3.5% and a good pension scheme.
