Forklift Mechanic

About the job

As a forklift mechanic in Etten-Leur, you work in a workshop on forklifts and other internal transport equipment. You carry out maintenance, repairs, and overhauls, and you make sure the machines run safely and reliably.

What you'll do

• Carry out inspections and maintenance on forklifts and internal transport equipment
• Find and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Repair and replace engines, brakes, masts, and lifting mechanisms
• Inspect forklifts and check their technical condition
• Work on electric forklifts and forklifts with combustion engines
• Run diagnostics and test machines after repair
• Maintain forklifts and mobile elevated work platforms
• Overhaul engines and maintain delivery vehicles
• Build and maintain trailers
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy according to safety rules

What we ask

• 0 to 3 years of experience as a forklift mechanic, car mechanic, delivery vehicle mechanic, or in a similar technical role
• Technical skills and an interest in mechanics
• Experience in mechatronics
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Hydraulics certificate
• A technical MBO (Dutch vocational degree at secondary level) is a plus
