Mechanical Assembler

About the job

As a mechanical assembler, you play an important role in building custom machines for clients. You work in a modern workshop in Leeuwarden. Together with the technical team, you build machines from start to finish. You use your technical knowledge and eye for detail to make sure every part works as it should.

What you'll do

• Assemble mechanical parts and machine components using technical drawings.
• Build modules, structures and complete machines, and check that they work correctly.
• Install and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems, depending on your experience.
• Check dimensions, connections and alignment to ensure quality.
• Spot and solve technical issues during assembly.

What we ask

• A completed technical MBO (Dutch vocational qualification, level 3 or 4) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• Experience in mechanical assembly or similar work.
• Ability to read technical drawings, or a willingness to learn.
• Interest in mechanics and some knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• You work accurately, safely, and are willing to suggest technical solutions.

What we offer

• Salary from €2,549.73 gross per month.
• Temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
• 38 to 40 hours per week.
• 25 days of holiday and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a statutory bonus paid once a year).
