Service Technician Pump Systems

Are you looking for technical work with a lot of independence, where every day is different? As a service technician for pump systems, you are responsible for maintenance, repairs and inspections of pump installations and groundwater systems. You split your time between the workshop in Aalten and customer sites across the Netherlands and the Benelux countries.

What you'll do

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on pump installations and groundwater systems
• Find and fix mechanical and electrical faults
• Test, inspect and commission technical installations
• Overhaul pumps and technical components
• Work on pumps, pipework, control cabinets and groundwater installations
• Record completed work in service and maintenance reports
• Advise customers and colleagues on technical matters on site
• Help develop improvements to installations and maintenance processes
• Make sure all work is done safely and carefully, both in the workshop and on site

What we ask

• MBO-level technical education (Dutch vocational qualification) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field
• Experience as a technician, for example in installation, industry, water technology or pump systems
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrotechnical installations
• Ability to work independently and a willingness to analyse and solve faults
• Customer-oriented attitude and clear communication with customers and colleagues
• Category B driving licence
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certification for working on construction and industrial sites) or willingness to obtain it
• Useful extras: experience with frequency inverters and control systems, knowledge of measurement and control technology, familiarity with NEN 3140, category BE driving licence
• You must already live in the Netherlands and have the right to work here. The employer does not provide a visa, residence permit or sponsorship

What we offer

• Salary in line with CAO Metaal & Techniek (Dutch collective labour agreement for the metal and technology sector), based on experience. The range indicated in this vacancy: €16.50–€21.50 per hour
• 25 days of annual leave and 13 ADV days (reduced working hours days)
• Fixed-term contract of 1 year, with the intention to extend if both sides are happy
