Traffic Light Installation Technician

About the job

As a traffic light installation technician, you build, install and maintain temporary traffic control systems. You work both in a workshop and on project sites across the Netherlands. Your work contributes directly to road safety.

What you'll do

• Assemble control cabinets and carry out electrotechnical work
• Prepare materials such as traffic lights, cameras and cabling
• Place, connect, test and dismantle temporary traffic light installations
• Carry out technical work in the workshop and on project sites
• Learn to use control software and intersection drawings
• Calibrate detection systems and road installations
• Carry out inspections and functional tests
• Work together with experienced colleagues on projects
• Work according to safety regulations and quality standards

What we ask

• MBO (Dutch vocational qualification) level 2 in electrical engineering, or willingness to obtain it
• Interest in road technology and traffic light installations
• Accurate and flexible in your work
• Technical ability and a hands-on attitude
• A sense of responsibility for safety
• Motivation to learn new techniques and systems
• Able to work in a team

Note: experience is welcome but not required. With the right commitment and motivation, you will be trained in everything you need to do this job.
