Bridge and Lock Maintenance Technician

About the job

You work on the maintenance and operation of complex infrastructure in the Netherlands. You work on movable installations such as bridges, locks and pumping stations, making sure they work safely and reliably. You fix breakdowns and carry out preventive maintenance. You work in Heerenveen.

What you'll do

• You carry out repairs and maintenance on complex installations in the field.
• You start up installations, calibrate them and carry out precise repairs.
• You analyse and fix breakdowns and you take part in a 24/7 on-call rota.
• You dismantle and reassemble installations and test them thoroughly to confirm they work correctly.
• You work together with the team and support new technicians in a coaching role.

What we ask

• A minimum MBO (Dutch vocational college, roughly equivalent to a technical diploma) qualification in mechanics, mechatronics or electrical engineering.
• A category B driving licence.
• A VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working on construction and industrial sites) or willingness to obtain one.
• No fear of heights and ability to work safely near water.
• Ability to use digital tools or willingness to learn them quickly.

• Salary from €3,200 to €3,800 gross per month.
