Chemical Operator

About the job

As a chemical operator, you and your colleagues are responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient running of the production process. From the control room you monitor the installation and act when process parameters need adjustment.

What you'll do

• Operate and monitor automated production installations
• Control process equipment from the control room
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, levels and other process parameters
• Detect and analyse deviations in the process
• Adjust the installation to keep the process stable
• Carry out process and product checks
• Record production data and relevant events
• Work according to strict safety, quality and environmental rules
• Work together with colleagues on your shift
• Take part in discussions about process improvements and technical optimisations
• Attend training courses in the field

What we ask

• MBO (Dutch vocational qualification) diploma at level 2, 3 or 4 in a technical or process direction
• Interest in chemical processes and process technology
• Willingness to work in a 5-shift system
• Ambition to develop further as an operator
• Technical and analytical ability
• Able to spot process deviations early
• Precise and safety-conscious approach
• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of automated process control
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working in industrial environments) is a plus, but not required
• Experience as a process operator is welcome, but not required
