CNC Bending Machine Operator

About the job

As a bending machine operator, you are responsible for the whole bending process: from programming and setting up the machine to checking the finished product. You work in a team and together you make sure production is safe, efficient and good quality. Location: area around Breda, easy to reach from Breda, Tilburg and Waalwijk.

What you'll do

• Programme and set up CNC press brakes and 3D bending machines, both online and offline. Create and optimise programs, set up machines and choose the right tools.
• Read technical and assembly drawings, process bar and coil material, check parts for presence, dimensions and quality, and accept or reject products based on measurements.
• Split your time roughly 50/50 between series production and custom single-piece production.
• Join work reviews and morning briefings, monitor delivery deadlines and time standards, complete orders and handle internal transport, for example with a forklift or overhead crane.
• Monitor quality during production, check process controls and carry out first-level maintenance according to current procedures and health and safety rules.
• Work with colleagues in an autonomous team. Where needed, mentor co-workers and apprentices. Discuss technical matters with the production manager or production engineer.
• Actively help improve the manufacturability of products and advise the production engineer on possible improvements at different stages of the production process.
• In the future, there may be an opportunity to work with a welding robot.

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 06:00-15:00 or 15:00-00:00

Friday: 06:00-11:30 or 11:30-17:00

What we ask

• MBO (Dutch vocational education) level 3 or 4
• Able to read technical and assembly drawings
• Familiar with relevant software
• Knowledge of laser projection and bending and folding processes
• Experience with online and offline machine programming
• Good technical ability, manual dexterity and spatial awareness
• Precise, systematic and organised way of working
• Attention to quality, safety and efficiency
• Good team player who is willing to share knowledge with colleagues
• Willing to actively take part in improving the production process

What we offer

• Salary from €4,200 to €4,400 gross per month, including ADV allowance (a Dutch scheme for reducing working hours) and shift allowance
• 27 days of holiday and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary)
• Full-time position with the prospect of a permanent contract
• Travel cost reimbursement of €0.23 net per kilometre
