Hundreds of craft bakeries count on their supplies arriving on time, every night and every morning. Your work makes sure the products are ready for transport when they need to be.
As an order picker, you collect orders in the warehouse using a voice picking system. You get clear instructions through a headset, so you can work fast and accurately. You start in the dry warehouse and can then gain experience in the refrigerated and frozen sections. That way you get to know different parts of the logistics process.
You work at an opdrachtgever (client company) that specialises in wholesale supply to the bakery trade. Every day they deliver ingredients and raw materials to bakers, pastry chefs and confectioneries across the Netherlands. The company has been growing for years and is known for a steady workload and long-term staff. New employees get a full introduction, a practical day with a buddy, and personal support.
What you'll do
- Pick orders using voice picking
- Check products for quantity and quality
- Prepare orders for dispatch
- Stack goods on roll containers
- Work in the dry warehouse, refrigerated section and freezer
- Check labels and expiry dates
- Report damage or discrepancies
- Work together with colleagues in logistics and dispatch
- Keep the workplace tidy and safe
What we ask
- Good physical fitness and willing to stay on the move
- Dutch or English language skills
- No medical objection to working in cold or frozen areas
- Available for 36 hours per week
- Experience as an order picker, warehouse worker or in logistics is a plus
What we offer
- €15.44 gross per hour in line with the cao (collective labour agreement) for the wholesale sector
- 36-hour working week
- Hours are usually 09:00 to 17:00
