Machine Operator Glass Production

About the job

The client is a flat glass manufacturer in Venlo, operating since 1950. They produce insulating, tinted and tempered glass. You work in a modern, clean and bright production environment with an international team.

What you'll do

• Operate and set up production machines so they run at their best
• Work precisely according to given specifications and check that products meet the required standards
• Take part in producing high-quality finished products
• Spot minor faults early and act on them to keep production downtime low
• Work independently and together with your colleagues

What we ask

• Willingness to work a 3-shift schedule (Monday to Friday): morning shift 05:30-14:00, afternoon shift 14:00-22:30, night shift 22:30-05:30; on Friday the afternoon shift ends at 23:00; on Sunday evening the night shift starts earlier because of machine start-up
• Experience in a production environment is preferred
• Technical understanding of or interest in machines
• Precise way of working and a feel for quality
• Knowledge of German or Dutch

What we offer

• Gross hourly rate of €19.58, including a 23% shift allowance calculated over all hours worked
• Fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment
• Full-time, average 38 hours per week
• Travel cost reimbursement of €0.25 per kilometre, up to 50 km one way
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a Dutch statutory annual bonus of 8% of your gross wages)
