Machine Operator – Steel Structures

**About the job**
In this role you keep metal processing machines running correctly. You set up and operate a sheet laser, a profile laser and a press brake. You check the quality of cut parts and take part in the further production process.
You work on unique steel projects where technology, looks and craftsmanship come together. Together with colleagues from the construction, assembly and engineering departments you deliver custom solutions at a high level.
**What you'll do**
- Set up and operate the sheet laser, profile laser and press brake.
- Check dimensions, tolerances and quality against technical drawings.
- Work on a variety of projects in steel and sheet metal.
- Process parts for stairs, fences, facades, window frames, doors and custom structures.
- Report ideas for improving the production process.
- Help develop more efficient and safer ways of working.
- Work together with colleagues from construction, assembly and engineering.
- Keep the workplace clean, safe and well organised.
- Stay on top of quality, dimensions and finish.

**Working conditions**
This role offers stability, variety and visible results. You work in a close team at a family business with more than 65 years of experience in steel and metal.
You can expect
- Full-time, 39 hours per week.
- Salary from €2,450 to €3,200 gross per month, depending on experience.
- Possibility of a permanent contract.
- Work with modern machines, including a sheet laser, profile laser and press brake.

**What we ask**
We are looking for someone with an interest in technology, metal and production. Experience in laser cutting or sheet metal work is a plus, but not required. What matters more is that you work carefully, enjoy learning and get satisfaction from technical work.
Useful to have
- A technical background or a strong interest in metalworking.
- Preferably a secondary vocational qualification (MBO level) in a technical field, metalworking or mechanics.
- Relevant work experience can replace a formal qualification.
- The ability to read technical drawings, or the willingness to learn.
- An interest in laser cutting, bending and CNC (computer-controlled) machines.
- Accuracy and a willingness to learn.
- A team spirit and readiness to help colleagues.
- A positive attitude and a focus on solutions.
- Attention to safe and tidy working.
- VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working in industrial environments), or willingness to obtain it.
You do not need to know everything from day one. With the right motivation and a feel for technology, you will get the chance to keep growing in this trade.
