Sewage Sludge Processing Operator

About the job

You work as an operator in sewage sludge processing, from dewatering to composting. You keep the installation running properly and improve production processes.

What you'll do

• You monitor processes and adjust machine settings to get the best results
• You take samples, analyse the composition of the sludge and record the results for ongoing improvement
• You monitor air management and make sure emissions stay within allowed limits
• You plan maintenance for the installation and contact suppliers about service work
• You keep track of stock levels for consumables and chemicals

What we ask

• Experience in a technical or operator role and an interest in industrial processes
• You work independently, take initiative and have a strong sense of responsibility
• Willingness to be on emergency standby every 3 weeks
• Good command of Dutch, spoken and written
• You live in the Gelderland region

Employment conditions

• Salary: €3,400–€3,900 gross per month, depending on experience
• Travel allowance: €0.23 per km from 10 km, or reimbursement of public transport costs
• Extra allowance for emergency standby
• Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30 (40 hours per week)
• Work phone and laptop
• Possibility of a permanent contract
• Once on a permanent contract: 39 days of holiday per year, a good pension, profit sharing, a sustainable employment allowance and a scholarship fund for employees' children
