Paving and Green Spaces Assistant

About the job

You work alongside pavers, green spaces workers and machine operators on different projects. You make sure materials are ready on time, help with groundwork and paving, and support the team where needed. One day you might be on a new paving project, the next you are helping lay out green spaces. You also have the chance to learn on the job and grow into a paver or GWW (civil infrastructure) specialist.

What you'll do

• Assist with paving, groundwork and green spaces work
• Prepare and hand out materials and tools
• Help with placing kerbs and laying surfaces
• Support with earthwork and small ground jobs
• Keep the work site safe and tidy

What we ask

• Good physical condition and willingness to work outdoors
• Motivated and reliable
• Able to work in a team
• Experience in infrastructure or green spaces is a plus, but not required
• VCA Basis certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for construction sites) or willingness to get it
• Category B driving licence is a plus

What we offer

• Salary from €2,800 to €3,200 gross per month, depending on experience
• 32 to 40 hours per week
• 26 days annual leave and 13 ATV days (scheduled days off as part of the Dutch CAO, the collective labour agreement)
