About the job
Good warehouses run because of people who keep things in order, work safely, and know what needs to be done. In this role you combine forklift work with order picking, stock management, and general logistics support.
You start with a thorough onboarding period. You get to know the warehouse, the products, and the processes. After that you gradually take on more responsibility and switch between forklift tasks and other logistics work. You use modern systems to make sure orders are picked correctly and goods end up in the right place.
The client is a specialist wholesaler that supplies ingredients, raw materials, and packaging to bakers, pastry chefs, and chocolatiers across the Netherlands.
What you'll do
- Pick orders using a voice picking system
- Check products, quantities, and quality
- Prepare orders for dispatch
- Load and unload trucks
- Move goods by forklift
- Replenish picking locations
- Store goods in the correct warehouse locations
- Work in dry, chilled, and freezer zones
- Support during stock counts
- Keep the work area safe and clean
What we ask
- Experience as a logistics worker, warehouse operative, order picker, or forklift operator
- Forklift certificate or documented recent forklift experience
- Able to work independently after the onboarding period
- No issues working in cold and freezer environments
- Experience with voice picking is a plus
- Good physical fitness and willingness to do active work
- Accurate and safety-conscious
- Looking for a job for the longer term
What we offer
- Salary from €2,600 to €3,000 gross per month, in line with the CAO Groothandel (the collective labour agreement for the wholesale sector)
- 36-hour working week
- Working hours mainly between 09:00 and 17:00
- Prospect of a permanent contract
