Order Picker

About the job

You work as an order picker in a modern distribution centre for a supermarket chain in Alphen aan den Rijn. Your job is to pick orders on time and in full, accurately and at a steady pace. The work is physical and runs in a two-shift system.

What you'll do

• Pick orders using a voice-picking system
• Operate an electric pallet truck (EPT)
• Work in different zones: refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods
• Make sure orders are correct and complete
• Work two shifts: day shift (06:00–14:00) and night shift (20:00–04:00)

What we ask

• EU citizenship or a valid Dutch residence and work permit
• Basic English, enough to communicate on the work floor
• Available for both day and night shifts
• Able to do both light and physically demanding work
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual
• Good team player
• Looking for stable, long-term work
• Willing to learn and grow in logistics

What we offer

• Starting gross rate: €16.20/hr, including ADV supplement (extra pay built into the hourly rate to compensate for non-worked hours under the collective labour agreement) of €1.21/hr
• Evening supplement (20:00–22:00): +25%, €17.99/hr
• Night supplement (22:00–06:00): +50%, €22.49/hr
• Overtime (over 40 hrs/week): +35%, €20.24/hr
• Saturday supplement: +30%, €19.49/hr
• Sunday supplement: +50%, €22.49/hr
• Public holiday supplement: +100%, €29.98/hr
• Reach truck certificate available after meeting the conditions
• Housing arranged by the employer

• Vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus of 8.33% on top of your wages): 8.33%
