Warehouse Operative with Overhead Crane

## About the job

Every day, different steel products arrive at the warehouse. You unload them, check them, and put them in the right storage locations. You then pick products for outgoing orders and help load trucks. The main tool you work with is an overhead crane (a crane mounted on a beam above the warehouse floor). No experience with an overhead crane yet? No problem. During your onboarding you will learn how to operate the crane and how to do all the tasks in practice.

You work in a team of around 30 people. You have your own tasks, but you help colleagues when the situation or the planning calls for it.

## What you'll do

• Unload and check incoming goods
• Move steel products using the overhead crane
• Place goods in the correct storage locations
• Pick products for outgoing orders
• Load trucks
• Check that orders are complete
• Monitor storage locations and stock levels
• Keep the workplace tidy and safe
• Coordinate with colleagues on planning
• Report problems and work together to find practical solutions

## What we ask

• MBO (Dutch secondary vocational) level of thinking; no diploma required
• Available 36 to 40 hours per week
• Able to travel to Sneek independently
• Accurate and safety-conscious
• Willing to learn and ready to take on different tasks
• Experience in logistics, production or technical work is a plus
• Experience with an overhead crane is a plus, but not required

## What's on offer

• Gross hourly rate of €14.99 to €18.41, depending on experience
• Fixed day shift: 06:00–15:00 or 08:00–17:00
• 25 holiday days and 10 ADV days (ADV is a Dutch scheme where extra hours worked are converted into extra days off)
• Option to buy up to 5 extra holiday days
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary)
• Travel allowance: €0.23 per kilometre
• Pension accrual from day one
• Possible 13th month payment, depending on company results
• Choice between weekly or four-weekly pay
• Prospect of a permanent contract with the client company
• Extensive onboarding programme, including overhead crane training
