Assembly Worker

About the job

Do you like technical work and working with your hands? A client in Swalmen is looking for an assembly worker who wants to grow in their trade.

What you'll do

• Assembling and fitting metal parts and structures into complete modules
• Working from technical drawings and work instructions
• Drilling holes and cutting openings in metal parts
• Joining different parts together
• Checking dimensions and quality of finished parts
• Spotting and reporting deviations from specifications
• Keeping your workstation clean and safe

You start on day shifts. Later you move to a two-shift system:

• Morning shift: 06:15 - 14:45
• Afternoon shift: 14:00 - 22:00

Once you work shifts, you receive a 20% shift allowance.

What we ask

• Experience in technical assembly, mechanical assembly, or metalworking
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Confident using power tools and hand tools
• Accurate and focused on quality
• Able to work independently and also well in a team
• Sufficient Dutch or English to understand work and safety instructions
• Available full-time
• Willing to apply for a VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, a certificate of conduct from the Dutch government) if required

Useful extras

• Experience in the defence, aerospace, or high-tech sector
• Experience with welding, spot welding, or other joining techniques
• Familiarity with quality and safety procedures in a production environment

What we offer

• Gross hourly rate of €16.25 to €17.00, depending on experience
• Weekly pay, every Friday
• 8.33% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory bonus paid on top of your salary in the Netherlands)
