Greenhouse Worker

About the job

As a greenhouse worker, you support daily work in the greenhouse and with crop care. You work under experienced team members. You carry out different practical and technical tasks, work carefully with plants, and help keep the workplace safe and clean. When needed, you can also supervise temporary workers.

What you'll do

• Carry out crop care tasks such as sowing, watering, turning plants, lowering plants, planting, removing leaves, vibrating trusses, harvesting, and extracting seeds
• Spot and report diseases, pests, and quality issues in plants
• Keep the greenhouse and workspaces clean and tidy
• Prepare and clean rooms before and after growing cycles
• Work carefully with large numbers of plants and follow all work orders and instructions
• Guide or supervise temporary workers on assigned tasks
• Use greenhouse tools and equipment
• Use computer systems to record daily work
• Follow safety and phytosanitary protocols and attend required safety meetings

What we ask

• Able to communicate in English or Dutch
• Willing to learn and work with different crops and workstations
• Comfortable using tools, equipment, and basic machines
• Basic computer skills

What we offer

• Gross hourly rate: €15.87 to €16.63, depending on experience
• Travel cost reimbursement: €0.23 per kilometre
• Overtime rate: 140% for hours above 38 per week
• Vakantiegeld (holiday pay) of 8.33% and 25 days of holiday per year
