Ground Worker / Construction Worker

About the job

You work in a team of 3 to 4 people. The team replaces gas connections that run from the main network to residential buildings. The work is physical and takes place outside, on streets and pavements.

What you'll do

• Dig trenches and help with excavator work (hand-digging to expose the ground first)
• Support the mini-excavator operator when locating cables and pipes
• Restore the surface after the work is done (pavement or road)
• Assist the gas fitter with installing, testing and measuring connections
• Do paving work as part of your daily tasks

What we ask

• Good physical condition and manual skill
• You can work well in a team and also on your own
• VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certificate) is a plus, you can get it later at the employer's cost
• VIAG certificate is a plus, you can get it later at the employer's cost
• A driving licence is a plus

• Salary from €2,850 to €3,000 gross per month
