Ground Worker

About the job

You work as a ground worker alongside colleagues and excavator operators. You do a range of tasks and see the results of your work every day. You work at different locations in the province of Drenthe, so no two days are the same.

What you'll do

• Assist the excavator operator
• Lay pipes, cables, fibre optic networks and sewer lines
• Repair road surfaces and paving
• Dig and fill trenches and manholes

What we ask

• Some experience in the trade, willingness to learn and grow
• VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for construction workers) or willingness to get one through the client company
• Category B driving licence

What we offer

• Hourly rate from €15.97 to €17.97 gross, depending on CAO (Dutch collective labour agreement) and experience, with the possibility to earn more after completing certificates and training
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre
• Possibility to obtain various certificates: VIAG, BEI, VCA (full), category BE driving licence
• Possibility to complete BBL training courses, for example: Gas, Water and Heat Network Fitter; Low-Voltage Network Fitter; Vakman GWW (civil and road construction specialist)
• Work with a stable client company with a lot of experience in the GWW sector (civil, road and hydraulic engineering)
• Opportunity to learn from an experienced tradesperson
