Logistics Team Leader

About the job

We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader for a large logistics organisation in Delfgauw. In this role you work actively on the warehouse floor and make sure daily operations run smoothly. You are responsible for your team and you lead by example.

What you'll do

• You lead a team of workers and motivate them to reach shared goals
• You run the briefing at the start of each shift and hand out tasks
• You monitor progress, performance and quality of work
• You keep the workplace safe and make sure health and safety rules are followed
• You work actively on the floor alongside your team
• You spot problems and machine faults and take action to fix them
• You coordinate with supervisors and work together to improve daily processes
• You make sure workers are deployed flexibly when the operation needs it
• You work full time, 40 hours a week, in a 3-shift rotation. Every week you work one day in the weekend (Saturday or Sunday). About once every six weeks you work a night shift. Availability on public holidays is also required.

What we ask

• A thinking and working level equivalent to MBO (Dutch intermediate vocational education)
• Experience in logistics or a production environment. Experience in a leadership role is a plus.
• You handle stress well, make decisions clearly and keep an overview when things get busy
• Good command of Dutch or English
• Willing to work in a 3-shift rotation and regularly in the weekend

What's on offer

• Gross salary of €2,800 to €3,200 per month, depending on knowledge and experience
• Good shift allowances: 35% for evening shifts, 45% for night shifts, 50% or 100% for weekend shifts depending on the type of shift
• Full time, 40 hours a week
• One-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position
