Wood Repair Specialist

About the job

As a wood repair specialist in Leeuwarden, you repair rotted wood and damaged frames, windows and doors in existing residential buildings. You work independently, see the direct result of your work and make sure the renovated homes look good and stay that way.

What you'll do

• Find and assess wood rot and other damage
• Remove damaged wood and carry out lasting repairs
• Repair frames, windows, doors and other wooden elements
• Prepare repaired surfaces for painting
• Plan, organise and complete work on your own
• Work in occupied buildings and interact with residents in a respectful way
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and site managers

What we ask

• 3 to 5 years of experience in wood repair, carpentry or maintenance work
• Proven skills and precision when repairing rot and doing partial replacements
• Ability to assess, plan and carry out work independently
• Good communication with residents, colleagues and managers, and the ability to explain the right solution clearly
• A category B driving licence is an advantage
• Initiative, a sense of responsibility and a practical attitude in daily work

What we offer

• 32 to 40 hours per week
• Salary up to €4,600 gross, paid every four weeks
• 25 holiday days plus extra ATV days (reduction of working hours days, a common arrangement in Dutch construction CAO, the collective labour agreement)
