Senior Bridge and Lock Technician

About the job

As a senior bridge and lock technician, you help keep important infrastructure in the Netherlands running and reliable. You work on complex installations such as bridges, locks, and pumping stations. You fix breakdowns, carry out preventive maintenance, and test installations. You make sure everything works, even in difficult conditions.

What you'll do

• Carry out maintenance: repair and maintain complex installations in the field.
• Test installations: commission installations, calibrate systems, and carry out precise repairs.
• Fix breakdowns: analyse and resolve faults, and take part in scheduled on-call duties on a 24/7 rota.
• Install and dismantle installations: assemble and disassemble installations and test them thoroughly to confirm they work correctly.
• Support colleagues: work as part of a team and coach and support new technicians.

What we ask

• At least an MBO diploma (Dutch vocational qualification, level 3 or 4) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering.
• Category B driving licence.
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working on construction and industrial sites), or willingness to obtain one.
• No fear of heights and ability to work safely near water.
• Ability to use digital tools, or willingness to learn them quickly.

• Salary from €3,600 to €4,200 gross per month.
