Refrigeration Service Technician

About the job

You work every day on modern refrigeration and freezer systems in supermarkets. You keep these systems running, analyse how they perform, and make improvements. The systems use CO2 as a natural refrigerant. You work on your own, but stay in close contact with colleagues and planners.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive maintenance on complex refrigeration and freezer systems, including combined heating systems.
• Find and fix faults using modern data systems and measuring equipment.
• Keep customers informed about the state of their systems and give them technical support.
• Work on sustainability projects such as heat recovery systems and CO2 installations.
• Coordinate with other technicians and planners to keep work running smoothly.

What we ask

• Technical education at MBO level (Dutch vocational qualification, roughly equivalent to a trade certificate).
• Category B driving licence. You get your own service van.
• Experience maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems.
• Calm and professional when things get stressful.
• Clear communication with customers and colleagues.

What we offer

• Salary from €2,800 to €3,600 gross per month.
• Permanent full-time contract.
• Working week of 32 to 40 hours.
• 25 days of holiday and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a Dutch statutory bonus paid on top of your salary).
