Senior Maintenance Technician

About the job

As Senior Maintenance Technician, you are the main technical contact at a fully electric hospital in Meppel. You are responsible for managing, maintaining, and keeping all building systems available. You combine technical knowledge with supervisory and coordination tasks.

What you'll do

• Lead, support, and coach the maintenance team
• Organise weekly team meetings and work consultations
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on maintenance and facility management
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate maintenance and repair work
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules in Planon
• Draw up work permits, risk assessments, and switching diagrams
• Supervise maintenance work during critical medical processes
• Process and assess maintenance reports and technical changes
• Fill the following roles: Fire Alarm System Manager (BMI), Authorised Person for Medical Gases, and Responsible Person for Electrical Work
• Monitor the safety, quality, continuity, and energy efficiency of technical installations
• Work with the following systems: fire alarm, medical gases, HVAC, drinking water, and power supply

What we ask

• Completed technical education at mbo 4 level (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in managing and maintaining building installations
• Experience with maintenance management systems such as Planon
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems, medical gases, HVAC, and power systems is a strong plus
• Certificates such as NEN 3140 (Dutch standard for safe working on or near electrical installations), Werkverantwoordelijke (responsible person for work safety), or BMI-beheerder (fire alarm system manager) are a plus
• Strong organisational and communication skills
