About the job

As a conventional turner and toolmaker, you work in the technical department of a family-owned company in the Zaandam area. Your work directly affects how smoothly production runs. You combine traditional turning and milling craft with a modern production environment.

What you'll do

• Carry out conventional turning and milling work in the technical department
• Maintain and repair dies used for producing bases and lids
• Make parts based on technical drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions
• Diagnose and fix technical problems together with the technical department manager
• Coordinate, track, and supervise measuring tools
• Report, initiate, and implement improvements to existing production lines and dies
• Keep up with new techniques and developments in your field
• Work precisely to make sure production quality and reliability stay high

What we ask

• Experience in conventional turning and milling
• Good technical understanding and the ability to think ahead
• Experience in engineering and knowledge of machines and production processes
• Ability to make parts accurately from a drawing or sketch
• An independent and careful way of working
• Ability to stay calm under pressure during breakdowns or urgent jobs
• A positive, proactive attitude
• Willingness to work according to HACCP, BRC, hygiene, and safety rules
• Living near Zaandam or willing to travel to that area
