Van and truck mechanic

About the job

As a van and truck mechanic in Breda, you carry out maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. You work mainly on MAN tractor units, but also on vehicles from other brands. You keep your technical knowledge up to date by attending regular training. When needed, you take part in a 24-hour on-call rota and help get broken-down vehicles back on the road.

What you'll do

• Carry out service and repair work on commercial vehicles, mainly MAN tractor units
• Analyse faults, diagnose problems and solve them properly
• Perform APK (Dutch mandatory vehicle inspection) and tachograph calibration
• Carry out engine overhauls and work on mobile machinery
• Take part in a rotating 24-hour on-call rota and assist broken-down vehicles

What we ask

• 0 to 3 years of experience as a van or truck mechanic
• Knowledge of vehicle engineering
• Experience with commercial vehicles
• Experience with mobile machinery
• A Bedrijfsautotechniek diploma (commercial vehicle engineering qualification)
• APK1, APK2 and/or tachograph calibration certificates are a plus; willingness to obtain them is welcome

• Salary from €3,000 to €4,000 gross per month, depending on experience
• Full time, 40 hours per week
