Logistics operative (warehouse)

About the job

A logistics operative responsible for the physical and administrative handling of material flows in the warehouse and on the outside yard. You work in a team of around 10 people and have daily contact with drivers, production, quality control and the production planner. You report to the logistics manager.

What you'll do

• Goods receiving: loading and unloading trucks with a forklift (heftruck), instructing drivers, checking incoming goods for quantity, numbers and quality, reporting differences to the production planner
• Storage and issue: deciding where goods are stored in the warehouse, moving them with a forklift, issuing materials based on order lists, discussing planning with the logistics manager, reporting missing materials
• Administration: checking and recording delivery documents, storage locations, quantity differences and damage, entering purchase needs for personal protective equipment, clothing and tools into the system
• Continuous improvement: flagging opportunities to work better and turning problems into improvement ideas
• Health and safety: working according to current safety standards, keeping the work area clean, reporting unsafe situations to your manager

What we ask

• Minimum MBO level education (vocational secondary school)
• Knowledge of logistics processes and ERP systems
• Knowledge of internal processes, procedures and health and safety rules
• Practical approach to work and ability to work in a team
• Forklift licence (heftruck)

• Gross hourly rate from age 21 onwards, exact amount depends on knowledge and experience
