Technical Infrastructure Fitter

About the job

You work on underground pipeline systems for gas, water and heat. You do technical work based on drawings and make sure installations are laid safely and to the required standards.

What you'll do

• Mark out pipeline routes and locate existing cables and pipes
• Fit and assemble pipe sections and connection parts
• Make soldered and PE welded connections
• Connect pipelines and check the quality of connections
• Test and inspect pipeline systems for function and safety
• Commission installations and networks
• Read and interpret digital drawings and work documents
• Work together with colleagues on infrastructure projects
• Make sure work is done safely and carefully

What we ask

• MBO level 1 diploma (Dutch vocational qualification) in a technical field
• Experience with distribution and connection pipelines
• Experience with soldering and PE welded connections
• Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in pipeline work
• Ability to read and interpret digital drawings
• Knowledge of testing and inspection methods for pipeline systems
• Focus on safety, quality and accuracy
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

What we offer

• Salary from €2,700 to €3,600 gross per month
• Temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent position
• 32 to 40 hours per week
• Fixed hours from 7:30 to 15:30
• Terms of employment under the CAO Technisch Installatiebedrijf (the collective labour agreement, CAO, for the technical installation sector)
• Possibility to transfer directly to the client after one year
• Training and further development opportunities
• Work on projects that have a real impact on public infrastructure
