Welder in Training (BBL)

About the job

The client has over 40 years of experience and makes advanced products for the international high-tech industry, from semiconductor technology to medical and defence products. As a welder in training, you combine work and school and build a solid professional foundation in a modern production environment.

What you'll do

• Learn and apply MIG/MAG and TIG welding techniques, with a focus on precise work with thin sheet metal
• Four days a week you gain hands-on experience on welding projects
• Learn to read technical drawings and work instructions to produce products to the required standard
• Check your own work for quality and safety
• One day a week you attend school as part of a paid BBL (BBL is a Dutch work-based learning programme where you work four days and study one day) vocational training in welding or metal technology
• Gradually build independence with support from experienced welders

• You are enrolled in or ready to start a BBL vocational programme in welding or metal technology
• Available four days a week for practical work
• You work carefully and take quality and safety seriously
• You are reliable: you keep your commitments and work well with the team
• You are open to learning: you take feedback, ask questions, and are motivated to grow every day
• No previous experience required: what matters is your willingness to learn

What we offer

• Salary from €2,300 to €2,800 gross per month
• Temporary contract with the prospect of permanent employment
• Working hours of 32 to 40 hours per week
• Paid BBL vocational training with a recognised diploma
