Freelance Welder / Structural Metal Worker

About the job

As a freelance welder and structural metal worker, you weld and assemble metal structures. You work from technical drawings and meet set quality standards. You do MIG/MAG welding and structural metalwork, where precision and skill come first. This is an independent role. You take responsibility for your own work and help keep things running smoothly on site.

What you'll do

• MIG/MAG welding on various metal structures
• Preparing and setting up welding equipment
• Structural metalwork: measuring, marking, cutting and bending material
• Checking the quality of your own work
• Working together with colleagues in a professional environment
• Following health and safety guidelines and quality standards

What we ask

• At least 2 to 5 years of proven experience as a welder and/or structural metal worker
• MIG/MAG welding certificate
• VCA-VOL certificate (VCA is a Dutch health and safety certificate for contractors, the VOL level is required here)
• Registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) with a current extract
• Valid VAT number (btw)
• Business liability insurance
• Certificate of timely tax payments (verklaring betalingsgedrag, a Dutch document showing you have no outstanding tax debts)
• Own transport and own tools
• Own personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work independently, attention to detail and focus on quality
• You must be registered as a self-employed person (KvK) to take on this assignment
