Concrete Carpenter (Hardwood and Concrete)

About the job

You work as a concrete carpenter on specialist concrete and hydraulic structures near Sas van Gent. You work both on your own and in a team on various projects on and near the water. The client (opdrachtgever) is a company specialised in concrete and hydraulic construction. They build and maintain quays, piers, fender piles and other water-related structures. Hardwood plays an important role here: you repair, renovate and install wooden structures. The company has a no-nonsense attitude, short lines of communication and its own well-equipped workshop.

What you'll do

• Build and set formwork independently, based on technical drawings
• Install floor slabs
• Carry out all setting-out and carpentry work independently in new construction, renovation and maintenance projects
• Read construction drawings
• Inspect existing structures using tools
• Maintain tools and equipment

What we ask

• Experience as a concrete carpenter
• Ability to build formwork independently from drawings
• Experience with installing floor slabs
• Ability to read construction drawings
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team

What we offer

• Salary: €2,800 to €3,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week), depending on experience
• Travel allowance: €0.32 per kilometre
• Supplements and overtime pay according to the cao (collective labour agreement) for construction
• 25 days of annual leave
• 20 ADV days (reduction-of-working-hours days, a Dutch arrangement where you build up extra days off in exchange for longer working hours)
• Vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a mandatory Dutch bonus) of 8.33%
• Pension contributions from day one
• Opportunity to obtain certificates, including VCA (a Dutch safety certificate for working on construction and industrial sites) and other sector-specific certificates
• Option to use a company car to travel to work
• Work within a maximum of 30 to 40 km from your home
• Work clothing and personal protective equipment provided by the client or the staffing agency (uitzendbureau)
• Flexible pay: weekly or every 4 weeks
• A dedicated contact person who handles all admin for you
