Workshop Carpenter

About the job

The client is a carpentry factory where quality comes first. They produce high-quality wood products, select their own timber, and use only high-quality water-based paints to finish and protect door frames, doors, and windows. This role is for an experienced workshop carpenter to join their team in Kapelle.

What you'll do

• Make wooden parts to size based on technical drawings
• Assemble wooden structures for various projects
• Work wood using hand tools and machines
• Keep the quality of the end product high, with attention to detail
• Carry out quality checks and follow safety standards
• Work with colleagues to get the job done efficiently and on time

What we ask

• Experience as a workshop carpenter
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Able to work with hand tools and woodworking machines
• Eye for quality and detail
• Available full time (40 hours per week)

What we offer

• Pay: €16.50 to €18.50 per hour (at 40 hours per week), depending on experience
• Contract: 7-month contract, one-year contract, or direct employment with the client
• Travel costs: €0.23 per km
• Allowances and overtime pay according to the cao (collective labour agreement) Timmerindustrie
• 25 days of holiday, vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, 8.33% on top of your gross pay), and pension accrual from day one
• Option to get certificates such as VCA (a Dutch safety certificate for working on construction and industrial sites) and others
• Option to use a company car for commuting to and from work
• Work within 30 to 40 km from where you live
• Good work clothing and personal protective equipment provided by the client or the uitzendbureau (staffing agency)
• Flexible pay: weekly or every 4 weeks
