A stack of printed materials needs finishing, and you make sure it is done well. As a trainee machine operator in Westzaan, you learn step by step how to set up and run modern finishing machines. You do not need to know everything on day one. Technical skills and a willingness to learn matter more. You get support on the job and gradually take on more responsibility. This is your chance to become an independent machine operator and work with different machines.

You start as a packer. That way you get to know the machines and get used to the pace of work. Over time you take on more tasks and responsibilities.
**What you'll do**
- At the start you prepare materials and get to know the machines. Together with experienced colleagues you take care of the finishing of printed materials.
- You always start as a packer. This helps you learn the machines and get used to the pace.
- You move products and materials to and from the machines and prepare the machine for production.
- You set up and operate finishing machines and keep an eye on the production process.
- You solve small technical problems, do basic maintenance and help at other machines when needed.
- At the end of the shift the products are checked and ready for the next step.
**What we ask**
- Technical skills and a willingness to learn the trade.
- Available full time, 36 hours a week.
- Willing to work in 2 shifts.
- Willing to learn Dutch.
**What we offer**
- Pay between €15.38 and €17.90 gross per hour, depending on experience.
- Travel allowance of €0.20 net per kilometre for one-way distances of 11 to 30 kilometres.
- 36-hour working week.
- Day shift hours: Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 15:30, Friday 07:45 to 14:00.
- From week 46, 2-shift working: Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 13:45 or 13:45 to 21:30, Friday 06:00 to 12:15 or 12:15 to 18:30. From April, back to day shift.
- Internal and external technical training, Dutch language lessons and the possibility to grow to a machine operator role.
